What is TwC and what is its purpose?
TwC, or Teachers who Coach, is a community that connects educators with professional coaches who offer their support and expertise without charge. The primary goal of TwC is to help educators transform challenges into learning opportunities, fostering their personal and professional growth.
Who are the TwC Coaches and what qualifications do they have?
TwC Coaches hold a coaching certification and have been interviewed to ensure their genuine desire to support educators in developing their coaching skills in communication. They also undergo vetting to confirm they have a stable income and are offering their time pro bono.
What kind of support can educators expect from a TwC Coach?
Educators can engage in coaching sessions focused primarily on life/work balance, though other topics may be discussed by mutual agreement. Coaches help educators navigate challenges, clarify next steps, and provide a judgement-free space for reflection.
How do educators access and book a pro bono coaching session?
Educators can book a pro bono session through the booking links in the coach's profile. Upon booking, they will receive a meeting link and the coach’s contact details in the confirmation.
Is there a cost involved for educators to receive coaching through TwC?
No, TwC coaching sessions are entirely free of charge.
How long are the coaching sessions and what if I need more support?
Each session lasts 45 to 60 minutes and is conducted online. Additional sessions can be booked using the same link, but ongoing support is discussed case-by-case.
What are the terms regarding confidentiality and cancellation of sessions?
All information shared during coaching is confidential unless legally required. Cancellations or reschedules must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice.
What is the difference between TwC coaching and therapy or professional advice?
TwC coaching is distinct from therapy, legal, or financial advice. Coaches do not diagnose mental health conditions or provide professional legal or financial guidance.
